Before I started working with Clare, I was locked in cyclical thinking about whether I was doing the right thing with work. I was aware that work was potentially affecting my health, family, and well-being. I also felt that I wasn’t reaching my potential professionally.

  • Coaching is a structured conversation between you (the client) myself (the coach). I will walk side by side with you to explore your personal and professional goals and how to reach them. The coaching process is creative, thought-provoking and often unlocks new ways of thinking, productivity and growth.

    The coaching sessions are a safe, completely non-judgmental, and supportive space, where I will listen to you, ask questions, find out what your challenges are and inspire you to reach your end goal. You will be encouraged to make decisions and be accountable to yourself.

    It is future-focussed. It looks towards where you want to be, and how to get there. We may dip into the past to take useful learning and reflection. But this is for the purpose of supporting you to find your best way forward, that works best for you now.

    I may use some tools and frameworks to structure the conversations and to raise self-awareness and exploration of ideas.

  • Coaching can support people to move from where they are now, to where they want to be. This looks different for everyone. Here are a few examples…

  • Coaching is about you. It’s not about your coach giving you professional advice or recommendations, so it is not mentoring or consultation.

    I believe you are the expert of your own experience, and have all the resources, strengths and knowledge you need. Coaching supports you to uncover these, and find your own solutions, in a way that is right for you, which leads to meaningful and sustainable change.

    It is also important to be aware that it is not therapeutic support for mental health issues and challenges. It may arise in the discovery call that a different intervention, other than coaching, may be better suited to you.

  • The more you put in, the more you get out of coaching.

    You’ll do a lot of work during the sessions themselves, but the embedding, integration, and action of that learning comes in-between the sessions.

    To get the most out of the sessions, it’s important to come prepared with a particular goal or aspiration that you would like to work towards.

    Make sure you’re in a quiet and relaxed environment where you can talk freely without distractions. Bring a pen and paper to take any notes, a drink, and anything you else you need to feel comfortable.

    Some people like to spend 5-10 minutes before the session doing some breathing or mindfulness exercises to calm the brain, and get in a relaxed and clear headspace.

  • I comply strictly to the ICF Code of Ethics meaning that I adhere to the highest ethical standards for coaching, creating a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space.

    Confidentiality may only be breached in specific cases where there is an imminent risk of harm, or criminal activity.

    Before we begin the sessions we will read and sign a client agreement that will give you full information about what is expected from the client and what you can expect from me, as the coach.

  • In a word, no. The change that you see and the results you get from coaching, come from you. The more you put into the coaching process the more you will get out of it. No coach can guarantee any specific results for their clients.
